Tour description:

Discover Medellín’s downtown with a guided cultural walking tour that includes art, local flavors, and hidden gems. We begin at Plaza Botero, home to the iconic bronze sculptures by world-famous Colombian artist Fernando Botero. Learn about his work and explore the lively plaza at the heart of Medellín’s historic center. Next, we’ll visit the Palacio Nacional, a historic building now transformed into a colorful local art gallery featuring pieces by talented contemporary artists from the region. Then, take a short ride on the Medellín tram, enjoying panoramic views on the way to one of the city’s most authentic places: La Placita de Flórez, a traditional market where you’ll taste exotic fruits and connect with Medellín’s everyday culture. The tour continues through Parque San Antonio and the Park of Lights (Parque de las Luces)—two public squares filled with urban energy, and powerful stories of resilience. To finish, we’ll stop at the Old Railway Station (Estación del Ferrocarril de Antioquia), a heritage site that marked Medellín’s transformation from an industrial town to a modern city.
